Labrador Retriever, Black Note Cards
A box of 8 notes printed on fine Ivory card stock, envelopes and matching seals featuring the Black Labrador Retriever. The Labrador’s ancestor was the St. John’s Water Dog which was bred to help fishermen in Newfoundland retrieve their nets and the occasional lost fish. These dogs made their way to Great Britain where sportsmen used them to develop an excellent gun dog. The Earl of Malmesbury is said to have first called them Labrador Dogs.
